Biography
Martina Dal Brollo (Trento, Italy 1990) is a visual artist graduated in 2020 from the Frank Mohr Institute with a Master degree in Media, Art, Design and Technology.
She previously completed her studies in Spain at the Fine Art Academy of Barcelona and then moved to Beijing for a short working period.
Martina has a cross-disciplinary approach that developed through the years throughout several collaborations. Her research combines different expressive languages: Coming from a background in painting, she experiments today with performances, ephemeral actions and light installations.
During the two years of Master in Groningen, her artistic practice focused on the problem of environmental pollution caused by the dispersion of waste in the environment. Martina sees such waste as testimonies; as data to analyze. These traces inform us about our habits and the memory left by the passage of humans on earth.
Statement
Intendo il processo creativo come una continua sperimentazione e contaminazione tra mezzi diversi, un’ibridazione tra linguaggi espressivi.
La mia ricerca si incentra innanzitutto nell’esperienza del fare il cui centro é il processo stesso della creazione che si sviluppa attraverso molteplici collaborazioni.
Da alcuni anni la metodologia usata é volta ad affiancare le tecniche più tradizionali della scultura alle potenzialità espressive dei new media, uno scambio che si affianca alla ricerca pittorica sul corpo umano e al suo aspetto "carnale”.
